Fine Art from Canvasworks Studio
With over 20 years of experience creating especially large pieces, artist Lisa Curry Mair is expanding her focus to include artwork for collectors of all kinds. She gains inspiration from paintings of the 18th and 19th centuries. Rich, earthy tones create peaceful scenes of days gone by. An elegant lady gracefully riding aside while out foxhunting, a peaceful scene of a tall ship sailing into a harbor, or a regal portrait of a gentleman and his hunting dog are typical subjects of her period paintings. There is a certain charm- a story is being told, but quietly, like a bedtime story.
Lisa can customize her paintings to capture a place, remember a special horse, or reflect on an historical moment. She has years of experience working with her clients to create a piece unique to them and allowing them to participate in the development of the painting’s composition.
Paintings come in the form of canvas wallhangings, canvas on board paintings, fireboards, murals and floorcloths. Check the Gallery frequently for new additions or, if you have a painting in mind, click the Inquiry button and send Lisa your project information.
I adored riding horses as a child, and so much of your work speaks to me and brings back many fond memories. You are obviously a very talented artist, and I look forward to seeing many more of your creations in the future.
It has been an excellent experience working with you. Thank you for my painting and for all that you do to preserve this beautiful art form.
