Wishing you a wonderful holiday and the very best of New Years!

As I write this, I’m snuggled in at my desk with piles of boxes and wrapping paper spread all over my studio work table next to me. Every year I bring it upon myself to make just about every gift I give. Stuff gets painted, or sewn or otherwise created. I have no idea whether my friends and family would prefer to have a gift card from LL Bean, but they get stuff made by me instead. My hope is that a little bit of my heart shows in each piece I create and that maybe they think of me for a brief second as they try to figure out what on earth they are going to do with yet another “Lisa Gift”!

Our house is cozy and simply decorated with all the stuff I have made and collected over the years. I’ve put together a little slide show for you. Enjoy!

Welcome! A gold painted horse shoe always decorates our wreaths.

This “confetti” pointsettia sits on the window sill. An old horse shoe, found on the property, holds the luck in.

Our tree is decorated with hand made ornaments and lots of horses!

I made this paperbag angel over 40 years ago. She always watches over our Christmas.

Hand knit stockings are hung by the chimney with care.

I made this mantel scene when I was back in Middle School. They’re pretty beat up now, but they keep on truckin’.

The candelabra with greens hangs over our dining room table.
