Today’s doodle came from “Warren’s Common School Geography”, an 1880 school book. When you look up “Vermont” a scene like this pops up. I modified it a bit in this sketch and tomorrow I’ll be posting the painting of it as this week’s painting. It’s kind of silly with all of those animals milling about in one field with no fence, but Oh Well! It’s Vermont. Be free!
Today is one of my favorite doodles! Our neighbors have what we lovingly refer to as “the funny farm” because they have miniature cows, miniature donkeys, mules, chickens, turkeys and more. They all live in harmony (most of the time) with no separating fence and are a real blessing to my mental health. I can walk out in the field and be surrounded by by this menagerie and feel the stress just melt away. We’re not in Vermont, but the wilds of New Mexico:) Keep doodling, please. You inspire me to do the same!
