I decided to try something different to get me to loosen up a bit in my painting. My goal was to create this using only 10 paint strokes. I started with a 1″ brush and managed to get the basic lights and darks in, but I needed to go back with a 1/4″ brush to add some details. The final horse took about 20 strokes. Then the gold background was a bunch more.
