Morning Lilacs 5-23-18

This morning I just wanted to get back to oils, as I toughed out the day yesterday finishing up the GMHA mural, which is very large scale and in acrylics. I had just picked a few lilacs, and decided to give it a try. These guys are hard! So many little details my eye just wanted to go to. I kept telling myself, “Find the simplicity!” It’s a wonderful exercise. I might try again (or not!). We’ll see…
