Mural artist, Lisa Curry Mair, will be visiting the Inn to show and discuss the four walls of her mural which depicts rural Vergennes during the 19th century as well as the “city”, waterfalls and its shipbuilding center. On the fourth wall is her rendering of the Battle of Plattsburgh, where troops from Vergennes, guided in part by the father of the Inn’s original owner fought and defeated the British. There’s a lot going on within these four wall mural panels! The Inn’s dining room is a perfect setting. Beautiful furnishings and a stately black marble fireplace complete the historic room. Lisa will also be talking about her process and will have a few individual paintings available for sale.
