USET top-ranked equestrian Lauren Kieffer and artist Lisa Curry Mair have teamed up to raise funds for Brooke USA, which exists to support the work of the Brooke, the world’s largest international equine welfare charity, alleviating suffering for 82 years. From now until 5:00 pm on August 3rd, 2016 the boot entitled “Patrick and Lauren at Rolex” will be up for auction at 32auctions.com/LKEBoot.
Bidding has started. At 4:00 pm on August 6th the highest bidder will be announced at the Millbrook Horse Trials. They will be required to send the bid amount directly to Brooke USA and then the painted boot will be shipped to the bidder, free of charge, or presented if the bidder is there at Millbrook. Your donation is a charitable tax deduction.
Please share this with anyone you know who might be interested. Let’s get the bidding up there and help Brooke USA out! (If things go really well, and there’s lots of interest, the other boot will be painted and auctioned as well!)
In May Lauren sent the artist her well-worn riding boots. She was sad to let them go but excited to see what Lisa would do to bring them back to life. Here is a photo gallery of what Lisa did to create this wonderful heirloom. Click on any image to see it larger.
Don't miss your chance to own this beautiful heirloom!
