While driving around with Bart last weekend, enjoying the car’s A/C and the chance to get out of the studio, I caught a photo of the South Reading Old Stone Schoolhouse. Vermont has some wonderful old schoolhouses and this one, nestled in the side of a hill in the tiny village, is beautiful. It features a spring-fed water trough in front of it, where visitors often stop to fill their water bottles.
I added the sneaky little fox to begin a new series of animals and old buildings paintings I plan on creating this fall. I’m always looking for ways to make that human to nature connection in my work and I think this will be a lot of fun.
This piece is 8″ X 10″ and is acrylic on canvas on board. I am offering it through one of my “put your name in the hat” contests. The way it works is this: If you’re interested in purchasing this painting, just comment below* and say, “Put my name in the hat for the Fox & Schoolhouse painting.” Your name will go in the hat and I will draw on Monday at noon. Whoever’s name is drawn will then get to purchase the painting- unframed for $225; or framed for $275, plus $15 for shipping.
I am also offering limited edition, signed and numbered, ready to frame, giclee quality prints of this (image size is 8″ X 10″, paper is 11″ X 14″) for $45 plus $10 for shipping. You can order that right here:
*Please take note that this will also be offered on several Social Media pages, so it might not be one of the commenters on this site who receives the painting. Go to Canvasworks’ FaceBook page to see who gets it!
Do you mind if I quote a couple of your articles as long as I provide credit and sources back to your website?
My blog site is in the exact same niche as yours and
my users would truly benefit from a lot of the information you present here.
Please let me know if this okay with you. Thanks a lot!
