I will be traveling to Wilton, Connecticut next weekend to show my work at the prestigious American Artisan Show. The Show will take place Saturday, November 4, from 10:00 – 5:00 and Sunday, November 5 from 10:00 – 4:00. Admission is $10; under 18 free. Fifty highly-skilled artisans from across the country will be presenting their work and its influences that have been part of American fine handwork since the 18th century. Shaker-style furniture, pottery, baskets, candles, quilts, Windsor chairs, rugs, floor cloths, art, tavern signs, fine jewelry – and even beautifully turned peppermills will be available for purchase. The show is fittingly set in the Society’s charming 18th and 19th century buildings.
My booth can be your first stop as it is right by the entry, in the beautiful Bett’s kitchen. Hunt scene wall hangings, painted items (small wooden boxes, fireboards, a folding table) and several framed paintings will fill my space. I am excited to collect so much of my work to display in one place for this wonderful show. There will also be a small painted wooden box being raffled off. This is a free raffle! Just come to the show, fill out a rafflle ticket and drop it in the paint bucket for a chance to win.
I hope to see you at the show. Please tell your friends too!
Looking forward to seeing you again. My floorcloth is still the highlight of my home!
Best,
Joan Trauber
