The next painting I’m offering for sale is called “Peaceful Farm”. It shows Kate and her buddy, Pepe, with Abner and Thor, my two mini donkeys. They’re all just hanging out in front of their wonderful old barn, built sometime before 1790. The colors are soft; there’s nothing going on. It’s just a quiet moment as the sun comes up over Ascutney Notch Farm. It is 8″x10″ and is framed in a driftwood frame which brings it to 10.25″ X13.25″. It will go to the first person who offers to pay $675 for it.
What you don’t see in this painting is the new bandage on Kate’s leg. And she’s not out in the pasture today because she’s at the beginning of 6 weeks of stall rest while she recovers from arthroscopic surgery she had last week. But she’s a very good patient and she will do her best to heal quickly and as completely as possible. This is a new injury and thankfully it looks like we caught it very early.

I will not cancel my Florida plans until it’s absolutely necessary. And it may turn out that she would be best off rehabbing in the sun rather than struggling with ice and snow. So, I’m continuing with “Florida or Bust”, but I’m changing it to “Florida. Onward!” In case the poor choice of wording has something to do with Kate’s bad luck. The last painting was purchased by Susan Fay, who said, “Thank you for adding so much beauty to my life. I sincerely appreciate it. Good luck with all of your ventures.” This means so much to me and I have proudly added her name to the painting that will come with me to Florida to remind me of all the love and support I have. You guys are incredible.
