After visiting a replica of Maud Lewis’s house in Marshalltown, NS, I felt the urge to paint a rock like she would have done! I found this well-tumbled rock at Port Maitland beach and brought it back to the cottage to paint. The beach roses were lining the walkway to the beach, so seemed like a fitting subject.
