When I turned Kate out yesterday, she stood gazing off into the distance and I couldn’t help but notice how sparkling white her socks looked in the morning sun. Could I capture that in a painting? It’s all relative. White is sparkling if things around it are not. I got it a bit, but it’s still not like the “lit up” look she had going on…
