I’m in the midst of a huge wall (24 feet) for a mural for the Green Mountain Horse Association. I’m feeling like I tend to get a little too tight with it, so this morning I said, “No fussing. Just paint!” and out of that came this doodle. The oils are definitely easier to be loose with. They are forgiving and allow me to go back and make small adjustments after the fact. I like the riding habit on this lady- probably the loosest part of this painting, and I think the most successful as well. Moral- stay loose!
