As I write this, the snow is coming down pretty hard, and has been since I got up this morning. It’s finally looking like December! On Saturday, we got our first taste of snow. Overnight 4 or 5 inches fell and the sun came out on Sunday morning, exposing a winter wonderland. I took Rollie and Devon out for a walk and I was able to take in all the brilliant colors and sparkles. My neighbor, Rika, lives in the green cape at the end of our road, right at the base of the mountain. Almost every day Rika and I take our dogs for “walks” (which are more like flat-out tears) around the hay field and down the road. Such a magical place. This painting was just begging to be created. Rika’s pup, Molly, is the featured lab.
When the roads are clear, I’ll be taking this down to the Inn at Weathersfield where it will be displayed until a purchaser’s name is drawn on Dec. 19. It is $275 plus $15 shipping and handling. If you would like to have a chance to buy this, please comment below, saying, “I’d like the ‘Black Dog Green House’ painting.”
