This barn complex began sometime at the end of the 18th century with the part of the barn you see in this painting at the far left. That section is a 28′ x 34′ English style barn, built by Joseph Smith, one of the original proprietors of Plainfield, NH. At one point the farm covered over 600 acres, housing a large dairy operation, growing potatoes , selling lumber from a small saw mill and raising thousands of chickens. Today this part of the barn is the only remaining structure of the once large farming complex.

The barnboard-framed original painting is 16″ w x 12″ h and will be available at a special price soon. Contact the studio for more information.

Giclee-quality prints of this piece are available in various sizes.

“Black Hill Rd Barn” canvas print by Lisa Curry Mair.   Artwork comes to life with the texture and depth of a stretched canvas print. Your image gets printed onto one of our premium canvases and then stretched on a wooden frame of 1.5″ x 1.5″ stretcher bars . Your canvas print will be delivered to you “ready to hang” with pre-attached hanging wire, mounting hooks, and nails. “Mirrored” means the image continues around the edges of the frame.
