Memorial Day Weekend is upon us! The lilacs and apple blossoms are out and it’s finally time to plant my window boxes. For several years I participated in the Vermont Crafts Council’s Open Studio Weekend, always on Memorial Day weekend, and it was always a mad dash to get our winter-tired place looking happy and summery in time for the hundreds of people who would stop by to see my work. I am not participating this year, as I will be riding in a horse show, but I hope if you’re in Vermont you will take the time to check out a couple of studios and the wonderful work which is being created throughout this great state.
